This four-week training lab is dedicated entirely to Sensual Bachata. Each Monday, we'll spend 2 hours developing both your individual movement and your partnerwork.
Mon 6:30pm — Solo Training
Every concept is taught individually first so you understand how it works in your own body.
Mon 7:30pm — Partnerwork
We'll put those techniques into practice in partnerwork, translating it into clear, comfortable communication.
WK 1 — Connecting Simple Things (To Create Impressive Things)
Learn how simple movements can look elegant when danced with intention. It doesn’t need to be complex to feel and look good.
WK 2 — Shadow Position (Etiquette/Entrances & Exits)
Explore the entries, exits and etiquette of shadow position, along with easy fixes that make it feel more comfortable for both partners.
WK 3 — Sensual Waves & Laguna
Develop clean body wave mechanics and learn how to communicate them safely and comfortably with a partner.
WK 4 — Secrets to Seamless Transitions
Learn how to move naturally between combinations and movements. More often than not, it's the transitions—not the moves themselves—that makes dancers hesitate on the social floor.
A note from Vi
My goal is to help dancers understand the finer details of movement. It first needs to make logical sense, feel comfortable, and then we make it our own with a partner.
"Remember that when it comes to social dancing, how good you are as a lead depends on how good the followers think you are."
